When Will They Open?
These canteens might open around September 17th. This day is important because it’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. It’s a special way to celebrate and help people at the same time.
Why Are These Canteens Important?
The idea for these canteens came from a promise made by the BJP government in their election plans for 2025. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has set aside a lot of money – 100 crore rupees – for this project in the 2025-2026 budget. This shows how much they care about making sure everyone in Delhi has enough food.
These canteens will be built near big construction sites and in areas where many people live, especially those who work hard every day for their wages. This means it will be easy for them to get a cheap, good meal.
