There’s been some important news about the building of over 12,000 classrooms in Delhi government schools. Our former Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, was asked questions by a group called the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB). They are looking into how money was spent on these classrooms.
Why Are They Asking Questions?
This check-up is about making sure all the money used for building was spent correctly. Some people believe there might have been a problem with how Rs 2,000 crore was managed.
What Did Mr. Sisodia Say?
Mr. Sisodia has said that this is happening because some political parties, like the BJP, keep trying to find problems even when there are none. He believes they are using these investigations unfairly. He also said that nothing wrong has been found with their leaders, and he even filed a case against a BJP leader who made accusations.
When Did This Start?
This investigation began a while ago. The ACB started looking into this on April 30, 2019, after some BJP leaders complained. Even the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, approved this check-up in March 2025.
