Vasant Kunj Roadwork: Your Simple Guide to Traffic

Hello, Delhi friends! We know how much you care about your city, and when things are being built, it’s always for a better tomorrow. Sometimes, building great roads means we have a little trouble for a short time. This construction is good for our community, and it shows how important it is to use strong, high-quality materials for work that lasts.

Just like we need careful planning to prevent unsafe building in our homes and neighborhoods, we need the best products for strong, safe roads and structures. Using reliable materials, such as quality epoxy grouts and admixtures, helps ensure that projects are secure and long-lasting—whether it’s a big city road or your kitchen floor. Now, let’s talk about the important Vasant Kunj road work and how you can travel easily!

Why Is the Road Closed?

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is working hard in Vasant Kunj, South Delhi. They are building a new cement-concrete road. To do this important work quickly and well, they had to close one side of a big road.

Where and When Is the Road Closed?

  • Closed Road: One side (carriageway) of the Master Plan Road is fully closed.
  • Area: This section is between Masoodpur and Aruna Asaf Ali Marg.
  • Dates of Closure: This restriction is in place from October 8 to October 22.

We know waiting in traffic is tough, but this hard work means we will soon have a much better and stronger road! Using top-tier products, like the kind found in the MYK Laticrete collection, helps DDA build roads that won’t crack or break easily.

Important New Routes for Vasant Kunj Residents

If you live in Vasant Kunj, especially in Sectors B-10, B-9, and B-8, please use these new paths until October 22:

Turns You Cannot Take Right Now

To keep traffic flowing and safe during construction, the police have closed a few turns:

  1. Masoodpur Red Light: Traffic here on Mehrauli-Mahipalpur Marg can only move two ways.
  2. Right Turn Closed: You cannot take the right turn from Sector B-8 towards the T-point of Sector B-10 (on Bhagwan Mahavir Marg).
  3. Kishangarh Turn Closed: If you are coming from Kishangarh, the right turn towards Sector B-10 is closed.
  4. No U-Turns: You cannot take U-turns near Bhagwan Mahavir Marg (B-10).

Even small construction steps, like sealing tiles or fixing cracks, need strong materials. For example, using a high-performance sealant like MYK Laticrete SP 100 epoxy grout is key to preventing water damage and maintaining safety in any structure.

A Note for School Commuters

If you drop off or pick up children, please check your routes ahead of time. School buses and vans must also plan their trips early to avoid traffic jams near the construction zone.

We thank all Delhi residents for being so patient and supportive while the city grows and improves. Remember to drive safely, be kind to fellow commuters, and know that this small delay will lead to a big improvement for all of us!
